Making and Growing kids as disciples of Christ from all cultures
KIDS @ CHURCH
We love to welcome families at St Johns Park Anglican. People of all ages are loved by God and welcomed by God. We love that all people bring different things to our community – including our kids and youth! If your family wants to find out more about Jesus, you can come along any Sunday. Check out more info about our Sunday Services here
VISITING FOR THE FIRST TIME
When you first arrive at Church there will be people to welcome you, show you around and explain the children's program to you. We'll also ask you to fill out a registration form so that we know how best to care for your child while they are with us. If you'd rather your kids stay with you for the whole service they're welcome to as well.
The kids stay in with their adults at the beginning of church so that we can sing and learn about Jesus together before the children head out to have fun at Kids Church. We have a Kids’ Spot (a short talk, Bible Story or song) near the start of the service, and after this the children leave for their own programs.
CRECHE
We have a creche room where children from 0-4 can go during the 10am service. We have a Kids Church leader in the room who runs short, age-appropriate lessons for the children, however if you are more comfortable you can remain with your child in here. You are able to see directly into the church service, and the audio is connected through a speaker so you can still be involved in 10am church. There are age appropriate toys for infants.
KIDS CHURCH
For children aged 4+, once they leave the main service, they go into the Kids Church hall where they receive age-appropriate teaching from the Bible. Children are encouraged to believe and trust in the Lord Jesus and to live for him. Children are taught through songs, stories, games, drama, craft and small group Bible discussions. Teams of trained leaders teach these children.
OTHER INFORMATION
Please feel free to take photos of your own children, but before taking photos of other children please ask their parent or guardian first.
We have a COVID19 safety plan and ask that all Kids Church attendees please adhere to current COVID restrictions from the NSW government, including checking in via the QR code. If your child is sick please do not come to Kids Church until they are better. If someone in your family has been sick please consider staying home too so that others don’t get sick.
OUR TEACHERS
All our children’s ministry leaders are trained and have completed a WWCC and Safe Ministry Training.
